AQUAFLEX

Aquaflex modules are based on hydrophilic hollow-fiber ultrafiltration membranes, composed of a PES/PVP blend. The membranes, which are operated in a dead-end mode, have high mechanical and chemical strength, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. The pressurized membrane modules with inside-out configuration are the industry’s choice for the removal of bacteria, viruses, suspended solids, and colloids.

Features

  • Removal of microorganisms
  • High membrane packing density: The industry’s smallest free volume in a membrane module
  • 100% integrity testing on individual fibers
  • Individual fiber repair
  • Very good antifouling behavior
  • Typical permeate quality:
    • SDI < 3
    • Turbidity < 0.1NTU
  • Excellent chemical resistance with a wide pH range (2 – 12) and high chlorine stability (maximum free chlorine 500 mg/l)
  • Typical high permeability: low energy consumption

SEAFLEX

The core of the Seaflex membrane technology is the hydrophilic hollow membrane, composed of a PES/PVP blend. The membranes’ high mechanical and chemical strength makes them extremely durable. The membrane modules are operated inside-out and have proven to be first choice in the pretreatment for sea water reverse osmosis systems (SWRO). By thoroughly removing suspended solids, Seaflex membrane modules protect downstream SWRO systems from fouling.

Features

  • Removal of microorganisms
    • 99.9999% (LOG6) reduction of bacteria (Pseudomonas diminuta)
    • 99.99% (LOG 4) reduction of viruses (MS2 coliphages) by mechanical means (EPA Est. No. 090374-NLD-001)
  • High membrane packing density: The industry’s smallest free volume in a membrane module
  • 100% integrity testing on individual fibers
  • Individual fiber repair
  • Very good antifouling behavior
  • Typical permeate quality:
    • SDI < 3
    • Turbidity < 0.1NTU
  • Excellent chemical resistance:
    • Wide pH range: 2 – 12
    • High chlorine stability:maximum free chlorine 250 mg/l
  • Typical high permeability: low energy consumption

COMPACT

The Compact 27 is a tubular 8 mm ultrafiltration membrane very well suited for the separation of biological sludge, or any other high solids application (up to 40,000mg/l solids) in which high effluent quality is required. Separating at 0,03 micron, this membrane filter allows only water and dissolved matter to pass, rejecting everything that is undissolved. The filtrate can either be used directly in many applications, or be fed into another (RO) treatment system to remove the dissolved matter.

Features

  • Strong double-supported membrane tubes
  • Tight cut-off at 0,03 micron
  • Applicable for total suspended solids levels up to 25 g/l biomass
  • High tolerance to hypochlorite cleaning
  • High flux rates
  • Easily interchangeable
  • Also available with the X-Flow Helix technology, to enhance flux and herewith performance by providing enhanced mixing and efficient removal of the cake.
